“Forget Yourself” Drops 30th November!
Absent Minds' 2nd single “Forget Yourself”, whihc was once again produced by R&K Systems and Pete Marten, drops on November 30th.
This song is what got the band the official nickname "Level monkeys"- moving from quietly dangerous to explosively powerful in the space of a breath. Its driving energy is the sound of snapping awake in a situation that's gone on too long... With unspoken tension building through the verses, and a chorus that lands like a warning- it's confrontational in the best way: confident, controlled, and fully aware of it's own power.
The solos are swirling and overflowing with emotion, danger humming just under the surface with a controlled volatility. They wait for the moment where the line drawn in the sand is overstepped, where a boundary is crossed that sets alight the spark.
And when that spark catches, the whole song erupts- a reminder that some fires don’t destroy, they reveal. As it ignites, the music answers first, surging into the full force of everything left unspoken. That’s Forget Yourself.
